The music of Lie to Me is very important in establishing the distinct feel of the movie. Veteran music supervisor Vicki Hiatt helped to assemble an impressive collection of bands to create an energetic and modern soundtrack. For original music, Vicki brought composer Nick Urata onto the film. As frontman for the band DeVotchKa, whose music for the Academy Award Winning film Little Miss Sunshine was nominated for a Grammy, Nick has honed his skills as a dramatic and lyrical musician/vocalist. On Lie to Me, Nick not only created strikingly beautiful score elements but also a series of incredible original songs.
